Getting Started

Designing your new home is arguably the best part of building a home. Once you sign a contract, a member of our Artsy Design Team will contact you to set up your two-hour design appointment. We want to take the stress out of the process, so our clients have the best home building experience! Before you come to the appointment, your designer will discuss family lifestyle, floorplan, general expectations, etc. To make the most of your design appointment, we also ask you to gather and share your ideas and inspiration pictures. Our Design Team is excited to answer any questions about products, choices and finishes, so we can bring your vision to life.

During your design appointment

Our Design Team will help you choose many of your interior finishes. From kitchen cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, paint, lighting, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, your designer will walk you through each selection to personalize your new home. We will also discuss exterior finishes, like brick, stone & paint colors. Our Design Center has a wide variety of samples to choose from. We partner with trusted national brands to provide you with the high-quality products to meet your individual needs. Because we work hand in hand with your builder, we assist with products to work within your allowance structure. However, if you select something different, we’ll help determine any overages, so you’re not surprised later!

Final selection appointment

Most people finalize many of their selections during the initial design appointment. However, others feel more comfortable returning to review one more time. We want to make sure you absolutely love your choices! So, we suggest a one-hour Final Selection Appointment. This essential step allows you to review your design decisions and make any final adjustments. Once your selections are finalized, we pass along the documentation to your builder for installation in your new home. They will also keep you informed as the building of your home progresses with regular and open communication.
